Kreston International

Kreston International is a global network of independent accountant firms which is the 13th largest accounting organisation in the world. It operates in 94 countries, from 700 offices with over 19,500 professional and support staff.

The members of Kreston are all strong, progressive and fiercely independent firms of accountants, and business and tax advisers (membership is like that of a club, it makes no change to the ownership or management of our business). That is what attracted us to Kreston. The organisation gives us the ability to introduce our clients to like minded firms of advisers who have the local knowledge and contacts to help them develop their business and investment interests abroad. This might be opening a new branch or subsidiary overseas; developing an international sales network; advice on the local taxation issues of a holiday home; or the incentives for investing in a foreign country, for example.

We are Kreston's UK representatives for the Midlands region. We advise fellow member firms' clients locating to this area of the UK and welcome contact from both those clients and fellow Kreston members from around the world.

We attend Kreston conferences in the UK, Europe and around the world as part of our membership. This gives us a forum for discussing global accounting issues (an increasingly important issue) and meeting our fellow members. Knowing the key people in the firms around the world is a critical part of Kreston’s success.

Since joining Kreston in 2003, we have attended conferences in Lisbon, Zurich, Barcelona, Turin, Athens, Shanghai, Sydney and Cancun. More importantly, we have build up friendships with the partners from member firms around the world. When we affect an introduction for our clients, it is to someone that we know. The strap line for Kreston is "People do business with people that they know, like and trust." We have found that to be very powerful.

Our membership will also give our own team members the opportunity to take secondments abroad with fellow member firms.

The members of Kreston UK have strong links and work together to improve the overall level of service to our respective clients. This association, and the strategic alliances that we have formed within it, gives us the ability to service groups throughout the UK as well as across the globe. The strength and quality of the UK firms were factors that initially attracted us to Kreston. Collectively Kreston UK would rank as the 13th largest firm in the UK.
