Audit

We can provide both statutory and non-statutory audits for a variety of entities including companies and LLP’s. We also provide audits for pension schemes, charities and regulatory reports for professional bodies such as The Law Society and the Financial Services Authority

Many of our clients who fall below the limit for requiring a statutory audit choose to have an audit for the various benefits it can provide, including giving reassurance to funders, external shareholders and Government bodies.

We have a broad expertise with a diverse range of audit clients. As part of our audit approach we aim to gain a real understanding of our client’s business and focus on the key business and financial risks. As well as having regular meetings with our clients to discuss audit issues, we provide a detailed management letter to help improve systems and controls and have a positive impact on the management of the business rather than simply a passive review of a previous set of accounts.

Bishop Fleming Rabjohns has audit approval from the major American regulatory authority, the PCAOB (the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board). Only audit firms which meet the PCAOB’s quality standards and obtain their approval can be instructed by US based groups to undertake work, wherever they are situated in the world.

In terms of a quality standard, this is most demanding. Our high quality audit service not only adds value to the business but gives outside stakeholders confidence in dealing with our clients. Our experience includes being Group auditor to a worldwide Group using our Kreston associates to audit foreign subsidiaries.
