Miles Templeman, the Director General of the Institute of Directors, paid a visit to Worcester on Wednesday 23rd September. He, along with West Midland Minister Ian Austin, lunched at Clydesdale Bank, then visited Worcester University’s Castle Street Campus and the Worcester Bosch factory. They then travelled to Malvern to visit Morgan Motors before going on to Worcester University where he delivered the annual Business School lecture in the evening.
Rabjohns were heavily involved in the day which was being hosted by the local branch committee of the IOD. Ian Smith, a member of that Committee, was at all of the visits. To make it a really memorable day, he transported Miles Templeman between sites in his Morgan Plus 4. As Morgan is a Rabjohns client, and Worcester Bosch started out as a Rabjohns client in 1962, the firm has strong links with the whole programme. Ian is also on the Advisory Board for the University Business School.
Ally McLaughlin, Head of Core Services at Rabjohns, was also in attendance. Ally is on the committee of the Young Directors Forum for the IOD in the area and they will be speaking to the DG about initiatives for the next generation of business leaders. For more details on the Young Directors Group, please contact Ally on am@rabjohns.co.uk.
