Staff raise funds for the County Air Ambulance Trust

Staff at Rabjohns LLP have baked, swapped and got creative on their way to raising more than £1,000 for the County Air Ambulance Trust

Worcester-based Rabjohns organised a year of events to raise money for the County Air Ambulance Trust, culminating in the presentation of a cheque for £1,017 to the charity.

Staff at the accountancy and tax firm took part in a range of activities, including cake sales, book swaps, seasonal raffles and ‘dress down’ Fridays.

Assistant Audit Manager, Kate Hall, got creative by making and selling cards and ensured that nobody in the firm had an excuse for missing that special occasion. Staff also donned their aprons to develop their very own Rabjohns Cookery Book which was sold in aid of the charity. Members of staff developed, tested and created their own unique signature dishes!

Ian Smith, Partner at Rabjohns said, “Raising money for charity is something that always has been high on Rabjohns’ agenda – we feel it is very important to give something back to the community. The County Air Ambulance Trust does not receive any central financial support so it absolutely reliant on donations to keep it flying.”

Jason Dennis, of the County Air Ambulance Trust, said: “We are delighted to receive this donation and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Rabjohns who have worked so hard throughout the year to raise the money.”

Dennis continued, “The first hour after any incident is critical. Receiving adequate treatment and reaching a specialist trauma centre within the "Golden Hour" dramatically improves chances of survival and speed of recovery. The Air Ambulance can often get to the scenes of incidents far faster than conventional road transport - getting there within those crucial sixty minutes can make all the difference.”

Rabjohns has raised money for a number of local and national charities, including the Prince’s Trust, St Richard’s Hospice, Macmillan and the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust.
