Will is married with four adult children and six grandchildren. He lives in Worcester. His outside interests include cycling (including unicycling), flying kites, boogie-boarding and music. He ran the London Marathon in 1998 to celebrate being fifty and plans to repeat the feat every fifty years. Will has served as a governor of one primary school, two secondary schools and, what was then  University College Worcester. He has also been actively involved with a local church and local charities. Will is Vice-Chairman of the Taxation Sub-Committee of the Country Land & Business Association.
