Will was educated at Aylesbury Grammar School. He read Law at what was then Manchester College of Commerce but spent most of his time and a sabbatical year in student politics.
Will worked for a short time in university administration in Reading before joining the Inland Revenue as a direct-entrant Inspector of Taxes. He then worked for a major Birmingham firm of chartered accountants during which time he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser (taking the national prize for business taxation). He then worked for Arthur Andersen & Co for four years before joining PKF where he became a Tax Partner in 1989.
Will joined Bishop Fleming Rabjohns at the end of 2004 and has said that he was just saving the best to last.
After almost forty years of work in tax, Will has wide experience of finding practical solutions to most of the problems which taxation creates for owner-managed businesses and private individuals.
In 2009, Will was appointed by the Ministry of Justice as a member of the First Tier Tax Tribunal for the Midlands region which involves him hearing disputes between HMRC and taxpayers.

In addition to his work for Bishop Fleming Rabjohns clients, Will is responsible for providing tax advice to co-practitioners in the accountancy and legal professions.
Will is married with four adult children and six grandchildren. He lives in Worcester. His outside interests include cycling (including unicycling), flying kites, boogie-boarding and music. He ran the London Marathon in 1998 to celebrate being fifty and plans to repeat the feat every fifty years. Will has served as a governor of one primary school, two secondary schools and, what was then University College Worcester. He has also been actively involved with a local church and local charities. Will is Vice-Chairman of the Taxation Sub-Committee of the Country Land & Business Association.
